Gaza Bleeds: Death Toll from Israeli Bombardment Hits 72,280
In its statement, the ministry said, “Two people were killed and a third was injured by Israeli fire in the past 24 hours.”
The ministry added that, “At least 704 people have been killed and 1,914 others injured by Israeli fire since a ceasefire deal took effect on Oct. 10, 2025.”
Authorities in Gaza have also managed to recover 756 bodies from the rubble since the ceasefire, the ministry noted.
The conflict has displaced nearly the entire population of Gaza and inflicted severe damage, destroying roughly 90% of civilian infrastructure. The United Nations estimates that rebuilding the territory could cost around $70 billion.
