Lamar License Office Transitions to New Contractor and Location

JEFFERSON CITY, MO — The Missouri Department of Revenue (DOR) has accepted a new management proposal for Lamar License Office.  The contract has been awarded to Paul J. Wrabec Co., Inc.

The license office, previously located on West 12^th Street, closed on November 25, 2025. It will reopen, under the new management, on March 25, 2026, at a new location: 1032 Broadway.  The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Phone: (417) 262-5590.

While the office is closed for transition, DOR encourages customers to visit one of the following nearby locations to receive assistance with their motor vehicle and driver licensing needs:  

• Carthage License Office – 1429 Hazel Avenue

• Greenfield License Office – 309 W Water Street

• Nevada License Office – 409 E Austin Boulevard

All Missouri license office contracts are awarded through a competitive bid process. License offices are operated by independent contractors but governed by the Missouri Department of Revenue.
