Germany secures FIBA EuroBasket 2025 title
The first quarter concluded 24–22 in Germany’s favor, but Türkiye bounced back in the second period, outscoring their opponents 24–16 and taking a 46–40 lead into halftime. The Turkish team maintained strong momentum throughout the first half.
Germany mounted a comeback in the third quarter, posting a 26–21 run that helped shift the game’s momentum. Dennis Schroder contributed a double-double for Germany, scoring 16 points and providing 12 assists. Isaac Bonga added 20 points, while Franz Wagner contributed 18 points and eight rebounds, helping secure the victory.
For Türkiye, Cedi Osman scored 23 points, Shane Larkin added 13 points along with six rebounds and nine assists, and Adem Bona contributed 12 points.
This victory marks only the second time in FIBA EuroBasket history that Germany has claimed the championship, highlighting a significant achievement for the national team.
